雅思口语Part 1 Staying at home
1.Are you a person who likes to stay at home?
I am more of an indoor type, to be honest. The most significant reason might be that I am poor——I do not want to sacrifice my money on outfits, transportations, even dining fees. If I stay at home, all that I can do to entertain myself is to buy a comfortable sofa and then I can lie on it playing switch.
2.What do you do when you stay at home?
Gaming, mostly. But I also love to do housework and always dedicate to create a comforting atmosphere for me to enjoy my solo time. Sometimes, I even kneel down to clean my floor to make sure that it is immaculate enough for me to step on with my bare foot.
3.What is your favourite place at home?
Considering the amount of time I spend on, I would say my bed. Apart from the eight hours at night, I do sometimes finish a great proportion of my daily routine in bed, like eating. Also, with my AC set at a surprisingly low temperature in summer, I would squeeze myself into my duvet for that tinge of warmth.
4.Would you like to stay at home a lot in the future?
Well, I suppose to work means to spend less time at home. From then on, maybe I could only get to admire the morning gleam as well as the flaming dusk from my window, which definitely deprives me of my happiness of the day. However, that’s what growing up is all about.
雅思口语Part 2
1.Describe a time you taught something new to a younger person
What you taught
Who you taught
Why you taught this person
And how you felt about the teaching
One time I was asked to teach my little sister, who was still in her third grade, how to calculate the area of the shadow drawn inside a rectangle.
It was a super easy task, quite obvious to me. As long as I use calculus, the problem was solved without the usage of pen and paper. So I taught her the formula and asked her to fill in the gaps with the digits provided by the question. However, she was completely lost and baffled and could not understand at all. I felt that she was hopeless and maybe she should consider giving up on math ASAP to put her talent somewhere else——I was irritated and blamed her for the incapability.
However, when I calmed down and recalled on how my teacher taught me the solution, I realized that he was actually explaining it from another perspective, without the aid of professional knowledge. He even used an example to illustrate. So the whole class, despite their ability in math, understood the solution. I was quite ashamed because I was actually not being a teacher, but a bully, intelligently bullying her.
So I took another approach. I drew some pictures with regular shaped shadow areas and she quickly told me the answer. Then I asked her to conclude the pattern and try to use the same approach in this one. Much to her surprise, as well as mine, she did a great job and I could saw her eyes filled with tears.
Finally, I realized that we should not be condescending just because we are more experienced.
雅思口语Part 3
1.What skills do adults need to have?
They should learn to tend to themselves, like learning how to cook. Since most adults live on their own and there is no one to turn to. Even there are ones that they could count on, they might not always have the chance and might feel sorry if they owe others much. Adults should also learn to be emotionally stable. When they face great pressure from sustaining not only themselves, but their whole family, they cannot collapse before this burden. They should treat the problems with a usual mind so as to achieve a higher efficiency.
2.How can people be motivated to learn new things?
Mostly, people learn new things out of interest. They view this learning process as a form of recreation, different from what they do in classes. It could be considered as the most efficient way and most enjoyable way to acquire new skillsets. But also, people are forced to acquire new skillsets at job, in seek for bonus or promotion. Those people try to expand their capability to become talent with multiple and complex skillsets. So they are said to be propelled by positive reinforcement. However, when this incentive vanishes, their motivation might also perish subsequently.
3.What can children learn from teachers and parents?
Teachers and parents are role models to pick after when kids get in touch with them at the earliest stage of their lives. So, they are influenced by teachers’ and parents’ moral values. They either follow after precious traits or characteristics, like being selfless, honest or altruistic, or learn bad behaviors like violence. Also, teachers and parents improve their understanding of academic knowledge. It resides within teachers’ job responsibility to impart on information regarding various subjects and solutions to different problems. For parents, children learn life skills to be able to take care on their own.
4.What are the skills that you wanted to learn?
Time management is always where I am weak at. University life often involves juggling multiple responsibilities, such as coursework, part-time jobs, extracurricular activities, and social life. Learning to manage time effectively is key to balancing these commitments and ensuring academic success without undue stress. Good time management skills also translate well into the professional world, where deadlines and multitasking are common. So to attain greater goals in working circumstances, I have to be more efficient that others and try to squeeze time from my routine as if it were water inside a sponge.
5.What skills should children learn before entering school?
They should at least learn to tend to themselves. It could save trouble from teachers and ensure that they can conduct their teaching in an efficient manner. For example, if the teacher is interrupted during class to handle students’ problems of failing to open the water bottle or finding the book they need, the class would be low in efficiency. Also it is crucial for them to express themselves. School is a public place with loads of interpersonal communications and a place for students to not only study, but also to expand their social circles. If they can make themselves understood by whoever they speak to, it saves load of troubles
