雅思口语Part 1
1.Do you usually help people around you?
I am a keen helper and for most of the time, I will voluntarily identify whether others need my assistance and head over for help. However, sometimes I am over-enthusiastic and might interrupt others’ original plan, like offering a direct solution to a math problem others intend to solve by themselves
2.How do you help people around you, such as neighbours, family and friends?
Sometimes, mere listening can be a very effective approach. Being empathetic can be a significant form of support, especially for my best friends who are going through emotional challenges —— if they need more, a shoulder to lean on is also what I will provide.
3.Do your parents teach you how to help others?
Ever since I was a small kid, my parents have been holding conversations about why helping others was important, sharing stories and examples that illustrated the positive impact of such actions. Together with the constant observation of their behaviors, I learnt how to help others.
4.Did your parents help you a lot when you were young?
When I was young and vulnerable, they offered love, comfort, and reassurance wholeheartedly, helping me navigate through various emotional challenges, especially in my adolescence. They also provided concrete plans for my future, even on my career choices.
雅思口语Part 2
1.Describe an important plant in your country.
You should say
What it is
Where you see it
What it looks like
And explain why it is important
Bamboo is a magical plant and serves multiple functions. The early form, known as bamboo shoots, are viewed as a delicacy. Mature bamboos are tall and green and take the form of a cylinder – most bamboos are 5-10 meters tall and the tallest bamboo can grow as tall as 45 meters. The stalks of leaves are thin, as well as the foliage.
The plant bamboo is rare in other parts of the world. And it is this exclusiveness that makes a specific breed of species particularly precious —— the pandas. Bamboos are the main food source of panda, the symbolic animal of China, called “The treasure of the country”. Often, we see bamboos together with pandas. When those cute big creatures hold the plant in their hands, they are satisfied.
However, we can actually date back Chinese people’s affection of bamboo back to ancient times. Ancient artists viewed this tall, tough, even stubborn tree as the representation of persistence. There is an ancient Chinese poetry to describe the trait of bamboos: Despite the blows and hardship given by the strong wind coming from various directions, the bamboos stand firm and still. Those artists aspired to become a decent and well-mannered person, just like bamboos.
雅思口语Part 3
1.What are the features of living in the countryside?
Living in the countryside offers several distinctive features, such as a serene and tranquil environment, which is often more peaceful than urban areas. There is typically more access to nature, with scenic landscapes, fresh air, and opportunities for outdoor activities like hiking and gardening. The cost of living is generally lower, with more affordable housing and a slower pace of life. Additionally, the countryside often fosters a close-knit community feel, with stronger neighborly ties and a greater sense of local identity. However, it may also come with limitations such as less access to certain amenities, services, and job opportunities compared to cities.
2.Should schools teach children how to grow plants?
Beneficial as it seems, focusing too much on this aspect might not align with the broader educational goals of a school curriculum. Schools should prioritize a well-rounded education that covers a wide range of academic subjects, to prepare students for diverse career paths and to foster critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, some individuals may have allergies to pollen, soil, or other plant materials, which can cause respiratory issues or skin irritation. Apart from that, pests like insects or rodents also can carry diseases or just be disturbing.

The sense of community is often stronger in the countryside, with closer-knit neighborhoods and more opportunities for social interaction in a familiar setting. The slower pace of life in rural areas can also be appealing to those who value a more relaxed lifestyle and a greater work-life balance. Also, the cost of living is generally lower in rural areas, with more affordable housing and lower expenses for daily living, making it a great place for those who have already established their career but want to enjoy a higher-quality lives.

With their graceful canopy and seasonal changes, they provide year-round beauty. they also provide shade, which can help lower urban temperatures and mitigate the urban heat island effect, making cities more comfortable, even during hot weather.
5.Why do some people like to keep plants at home?
Many individuals find joy in adorning their living spaces with plants. Aesthetically, plants introduce a touch of nature's beauty, enhancing the look and feel of a home with their vibrant colors and organic shapes. They also serve as natural air purifiers, absorbing harmful pollutants and increasing oxygen levels, which can significantly improve indoor air quality and contribute to a healthier living environment.
