雅思口语Part 2
The experience when I changed an important decision happened when I was in senior year of college. Back then, I had to choose between looking for a job and furthering my studies. I was not confident at that time and firmly believed that I was unable to get an offer from my dream school. Driven by this thought, I began to hunt for jobs by sending out my resumes on job search websites. But the feedback was far from satisfaction. To be honest, I was confused and just followed what my classmates did. One day, my interpreting teacher talked with me about my prospect and what I was planning to do after graduation. He was surprised that I did not choose to study abroad. After listening to my concerns, he encouraged me to have a try and told me that my performance in interpreting class was really impressive. His words inspired me and I changed my mind since then. When it comes to how I felt about the change, it turned out that my final choice was right and I had made a good decision. I am really grateful to my teacher. Without him, I would never imagine that I could experience exotic cultures abroad and meet people from different cultural backgrounds. All these precious experiences made me become a confident person.
雅思口语Part 3
1 Do children like changing opinions or not? I think so. For young children, changes are quite common in opinion development. Their immature minds are easily influenced by other factors such as their parents’ preference, environment or even weather. Furthermore, I do believe that liking or not liking something can even go on throughout life.
2 When do children change their opinion? It’s really hard to say. I think children’s opinions change very often. Their likes or dislikes are just driven by their curiosity. When they are curious about what their parents are eating, then their food preferences might change. Moreover, when they see what their peers are doing, they tend to imitate.
3 Why did you change your mind? For most cases, I changed my mind just because I was able to see an issue from two side s like the one I used to believe and the fresh idea I have come to adopt now. But sometimes I changed my mind on impulse. For example, I once made detailed plans about what I’m going to do at weekend but ended up sleeping at home.
4 When people should not give advices? If others don’t ask, they probably don’t want to hear the advice from us. There are a lot of times when people just want to vent and want someone to listen. Actually they have already known what to do. Then people should not give advices on that occasion.
5 What should they do if they are given some advice they don’t like? The simp lest thing to do is ignorance. When someone is given the advice that he or she doesn't favour, one should know that the person who offers certain advice is just kind. Then after thinking over it in an objective way, he or she can ignore these unfavourable advices and insist on one’s own thinking.
6 Do people like giving advice on politics? It really depends on the age. For today’s young generation, they are willing to give advices on politics and they are convinced that having their voice heard can feel really empowering. To be specific, many youngsters take advantage of the social media to expose and post certain social events online to affect the public opinion. While for some older people, they are quite pessimistic and indifferent to some political issues. Then, it is more likely for them to remain silent in this regard.
